Cool down with these suggestions:

Ice Cream

You scream, I scream, we all scream for ice cream! Lucky for our soon to be Oben Flats Leslieville residents, they'll be close to two of Toronto's best ice cream shops. Our local faves include Ed's Real Scoop and Sweet Jesus. Ed's Real Scoop offers over 100 unique flavours of ice cream and a menu with sundaes, milkshakes, floats and affagatos. Sweet Jesus pushes the boundaries of ice cream norms. Not your usual soft serve, expect a visual spectacle when you visit Sweet Jesus. Ice cream might be one of the best ways to cool down during a heat wave!

Whether you're looking for a TGIF libation or cool iced Americano, Leslieville has got some great options at your doorstep. Ceili Cottage offers a traditional Irish pub experience with a not so traditional patio. Be sure to check out the yurt in the back! Te Aro is Leslieville's local coffee roaster in an old auto body shop. Enjoy sipping your iced coffee on their large patio while you scope out the neighbourhood and cool off. Go for a stroll on the boardwalk, rent a paddleboard or go for a dip in the lake - a day at the beach has something for everyone. Be sure to bring plenty of water and your SPF!
